Set of 7 yellow antique Venetian lampwork beads all with striped designs in red, white and green. Despite the source of these beads, this "Italian flag" color combo is an interesting change from the far more common red, white and blue "French Flag" version.
Set included 3 very nice short cylinder beads with "Italian" eye designs
One longer cylinder with a prominent Italian flag band around the middle
A short barrel with a different type of red, white and green band
And a pair of older and slightly more worn cylinders with pink and green spirals, black dots and faint pink/white latticino squiggles
Largest bead 17x12mm
Made in Venice, Italy mid-1800s to early 1900s for the African trade
I've compiled these from beads from Joyce Diamanti's collection, bead researcher, writer and educator.
Only one available although I've made several similar sets
