This is typical Indian cutting and stringing used for a variety or precious and semi-precious gems. The stones are most likely from Sri Lanka, which is also the source of the name turmali , which became Tourmaline.
Individual colors of this stone have their own names. Technically Watermelon Tourmaline contains both the pink and the green. This necklace may also include Rubeite (pink) and Chromdravite (green) versions of Tourmaline.
