Sadly I don't know what this is, only that it came to me in a trade for beads with a reputable dealer in Tibetan antiquities. He said it was 17th century.
It appears to be cast in iron, possibly with additional work, then gold plated
The workmanship most resembles the hilts of antique Tibetan swords or daggers, but it might be some other kind of ornament for humans or horses.
I'm pricing at the value I traded for it nearly 50 years ago so, maybe it's a great deal for someone who knows what it is.
I had intended to use it as a pendant, but never got around to doing that, now it's somebody else's turn.
I welcome any info anyone who sees this has to share. Please contact me through Bead-Zone.
