Tall thin Krobo powderglass beads from the 1980s into the early 1990s
- 17mm long by 6mm diameter mostly blue with just a little white on 23-inch strands
- The glass is still recycled, but it is colored with pigments to get brighter colors than the early bottle glass
- These long beads were the next innovation after making shorter layered beads and these were quite popular for a decade or so.
- It's quite.challenge to funnel powdered glass into an 6mm diameter opening, but the slanted lines resulting from uneven layers just add interest to these beads
