Powder glass rondelles (aka Krobo, Fused, or Sandcast) made in Ghana, Royal Blue 4x12mm - these are not true rondelles, but have one flat side and one domed
23-inch strands, about 110 beads
To make powder glass beads, glass (often recycled) is ground into a fine powder, colorants are added, and the powder is sifted into in clay molds. A twig is inserted to hold the center hole open. The mold is fired until the glass melts just enough to fuse the particles together. The twigs burn away in this process, leaving the hole. Then the beads are removed and cleaned.
