These fun beads are the latest addition to the powder glass donuts collection (aka Krobo or Fused) made in Ghana
Multi-color, 4x12mm beads on 22-inch strands, about 130 large hole beads
They're made the same way as other powder glass beads except they are heated to the point where the glass becomes shiny, whereas others have a matte finish.
I also think these beads had a few striped seed beads included with the ground glass used to make them, resulting in the detailed patterns.
Glass is ground into a fine powder and placed in clay molds with a twig holding the center hole open. The mold is fired until the glass melts and fuses to the desired degree. The twigs burn away in this process, leaving the hole. Then the beads are removed and
