Skinny orange tubular beads 27x9mm with large 1-2mm holes on 17-inch strands
These were made in Nigeria, collected in the 1970s when apparently there was hot glass beadmkaing going on - a completely different process from Ghanaian powderglass beadmaking
These no doubt were intended to simulate coral, by far the most popular and expensive bead type in Nigeria.
In addition to their color, and the fact that they are an interesting product of a short lived, and almost unknown glass industry in Nigeria, the big holes in these beads make them easy to use on leather cords
