Perfectly symmetrical sections, characteristic of Naga jewelry, are separated by
by bone spacer bars with up to 30 holes. The bone comes from the highly valued, semi-domesticated mithun, an ox-like animal indigenous to Nagaland.
Worn by women and girls of the chief’s clan during festivals, ceremonies and special occasions especially, but sometimes also on a daily basis.
