- Barrel shaped carnelian beads, distinct from Naga oval and faceted elliptical carnelian. Turquoise glass beads traditionally complete the strand ends.
- Much more limited in usage and supply among the Mizos than that of the Nagas. Origin of the carnelian unknown. Circa early 20th century.
- Collected during the 1980’s with other Naga and Mizo items, when tribal costume was being divested from those areas.
