Antique brick brown tube beads from Mizoram (NE India), 3-5x2-3mm,
7 strands of 20” in bags of 41 grams
These are smaller and thinner than related beads NGG-131
Very similar to, but not exactly like Naga “yiptung” lighter brown tube beads, or short, cylindrical brown beads, which were being collected at the same time in Nagaland as these were from Mizoram, in the late 1970’s – late 1980’s.
Worn in hanks of several strands, these were far less prevalent among the Mizos than beads and jewelry in the Naga culture.
These beads make nice spacers for necklaces, earrings, and bracelets.
