Vintage Venetian green "Watermelon" chevron beads Set of 9
One small round watermelon and 8 pinched beads 12x6 to 15x9mm
These beads are created by the same multi-step process as blue chevrons, but then for some reason the ends are pinched closed rather than ground so you barely see the 4 layer chevron pattern inside.
But it's the points of the white stars underneath the green outer layer of glass that give these beads their watermelon-like stripes
Made in Venice, Italy, early 1900s for the African trade
