- Unusual "shield" ornament from Ethiopia, brass, 43mm diameter
- This is a heavy antique version is quite different from the lighter newer ones
- Central raised area is 18mm tall
- I'm not sure how they are used there, but I've seen at least one designer who has attached 3 of these to each other to create a really stunning effect
- I can also envision them added to the lids of small wooden boxes or baskets
- I have several but each is unique and only a few have raided central elements
