Large Oblate (flattened round) "Batik Bone" beads with incised stripes
These are beautiful "old stock" beads with crisp design, well fitted wood cores, and rounded curved shapes aren't technically Batik bone
Rather than having dark brown or black designs applied to the surface with a batik (wax resist) process, these were dyed completely brown, then white lines were carved tough the dyed surface to expose the white bone underneath.
I haven't seen this type for decades, only two available
Beads average about 15-x22mm
Strands about 22-inches, 40 beads
The beads have wooden plugs inside the bone and the hole is drilled through the wood. The plugs can be revmoved if you want huge hole beads
