Large black vintage African seed beads, about 4mm on 24-inch strand
Irregular shapes, but still shiny, these haven't seen so much use.
They work well as spacers with other African beads
In Africa, especially in the Sahel and Morocco, they are also used for stringing silver pendants into simple necklaces. They have relatively large holes which makes them easier to use with the limited options in local stringing materials
