Set of Antique Venetian millefiori elbows 53x14, overall in great condition but each has a very small chip at one end
These are fascinating from the maker's point of view, photo of the end show how the same cane was laid along the length of the bead separating two 3 rows of murrine of the same hybrid cane (cased with stripes on the outside) At one end of one bead you can clearly see the cross-section of cane. One one side of one bead you can also see a murrini that was pushed out of it's row into part of the cane laid lengthwise, either when placed, or in the marvering process
For designers these make great focals or stand-lone necklaces on leather
Made in Venice, Italy mid-1800s to early 1900s
