Nearly black jade Axe blade shaped pendant, 18mm wide at top by 36mm tall
This stone so dark it's nearly black, the hole is about 2mm cleanly drilled side to side hear the top.
Hand carved by Maya artists living and working near the ancient Maya site of Copan, in Honduras (where my sister spent 2 years working as an archeologist in the 1980s).
Jade is an extremely hard stone so cutting, drilling, and polishing it is difficult and time consuming work
