Himalayan Chank shell beads, cream/ivory color, oblates mostly 10x12mm, but some larger beads up to 10x13 may be included in sets.
These rounded shell beads were worn in Ladakh and other Tibetan-populated areas of the Himalayas.
They were made between 70 to over 100 years ago, probably by the same South Indian shell cutters who made the Naga shell beads and ornaments.
This ensures they'll also work well with the Naga elongated and round beads and pendants. The holes are large enough for 2mm leather.
Their warm ivory/cream color also pairs nicely with wood or amber, brass, copper, and some gemstones, especially those warm tones, like carneliand and those with matte finish
