Set of 5 rare, large, antique Venetian lampwork beads in color coordinated set
Set contains: one very large 42x15mm cylinder, it's green core decorated with red and amber lines, and pink floral designs places in squares bordered by blue and white latticino canes.
Two large, short cylinders 15x13mm with "flag" designs of amber, red, white and blue plus two more short cylinders with coordinating bands of color
Made in Venice, Italy between early 1800s and early 1900s for the African trade
I collected these in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire early 1970s
Only one set available. Green antique Venetian lampwork are almost as rare as blue or turquoise ones
When I was trying to collect all the beads pictured in the Picards' books (see our Tools, Findings and Books Collection) I created dozens of 60-compartment trays of one-of-a-kind black, yellow, and brick antique Venetian lampworked beads, but only managed to fill one partial tray with ones.
