Long 29-inch strand of unusually large and plump vintage Venetian teal "Watermelon" chevron beads
These beads were created in a multi-step process just like the blue chevrons, but then for some reason the ends were pinched so you barely see the 4 layer chevron pattern inside
However, it's the points of the white stars underneath the thin teal outer layer that give these beads their watermelon-like stripes. Where the glass is thicker between the points of the hidden star,s the teal color is darker.
Made in Venice, Italy, early 1900s for the African trade
