Use a split, or jump ring, to hang a small pendant, a bead, or a cluster of small gems inside the circle. Then maybe add another bead at the top before connecting to the earwire.

The process for making a custom pendant is the same, just add a bail at the top instead of an earwire. You can also go further by attaching a tassel, pendant, or more beads to the bottom of the ring.
Finally, use these as spacers between sets of beads in a necklace or as a centerpiece in a bracelet - the uses are endless!
