Largest bead 31x24mm and the smallest are faceted cornerless cubes 10x10mm
The town had been mining and cutting agates and jaspers for over 100 years before they discovered the lucrative African and Middle Eastern markets. Soon they were importing stones from Brazil and other far off places to cut and polish for export.
