One of several types of faux Tibetan amber beads available in Tucson this year.
Bead sizes are about 12mm long and vary in diameter from 16-18mm
Only one strand available
Considerable thought and effort has been put into making these new beads look old. The strand appears to consist of a variety of shapes, but close inspection reveals there are just 3-4 shapes.
In addition, the beads have been artificially "distressed" to simulate flaws and signs of wear on antique Tibetan amber. The color also is quite a good match for antique Himalayan beads.
Because genuine antique Tibetan amber is almost unavailable and prohibitively expensive, these offer and affordable substitute to create the look.
