Lapis with Tibetan Vintage Pendant with Indian Silver Beads, 20 inches
PDS-10
- Necklace featuring a traditional vintage Tibetan pendant often called gau or ghau
- This one is made of silver with a lapis cabochon in the center. I bought it in Nepal in 1983.
- The boxes are hollow and usually contain prayers, herbs, small statuettes of Buddha, pills or other protective and/or healing items.
- I used oval lapis beads to mimic the shape of the box and finished it off with round lapis, sterling silver Indian beads and a sterling silver clasp
- Only one available
- Designer: Penelope Diamanti
- All my work is strung on soft flexible cable wire. I prefer the Flex-Rite brand.
- For more info about beads I use see the Asian Beads section of this website
- Just like in the Beadazzled stores, I hope you'll shop, but I'm also offering my work as inspiration for your own designs.
