When I bought a bunch of extraordinary Afghan Lapis collars a few years ago I got inspired to take them apart and reimagine them in new ways. (See GMO-69, GMO-72, GMO-74, GMO-75, GMO-76, GMO-80 or GMO-172 to see the originals)
This necklace is where remaining components from the collar I took apart to make PDG-8 ended up.
Just because a bead has two parallel holes doesn't mean you have to use them. Here I just used on and added some 5mm pearls to the mix. 18 inches
Designer: Penelope Diamanti
All my work is strung on soft flexible cable wire. I prefer the Flex-Rite brand.
For more info about beads I use see the Gemstone Beads section of this website.
Just like in the Beadazzled stores, I hope you'll shop, but I'm also offering my work as inspiration for your own designs.
