“Druk” means pressed, or molded, and that’s how these beads are made, a process that has been the specialty of Bohemian bead-makers for hundreds of years.
Since they are made in molds they are always perfectly uniform in size and shape. And, like Czech seed beads, their colors are also very consistent.
Their perforations are quite small and uniform meaning they line up nicely when strung and don’t flop around on the cord or headpin (for earrings) the way some wound beads with larger holes, or uneven ends, do.
