Vintage (from the 1990s) Indian chevron beads 28mm long by 13-15mm diameter
The Indians started making beads for export in a big way in the 1990s, mostly featuring replicas of various popular beads from the African trade, including chevrons. These are curtesy of the Beadazzled Falls Church Store's inventory
Before the Indians could perfect the process the Chinese got in on the act and with better equipment and facilities took over the global new chevron bead business.
The Indian beads have their own simple charm and the price fits a lot of budgets
Collectors might want to get a few because I don't think these are being made anymore.
