Sapphire, found in a range of blues, has been highly valued for at least 3000 years. Ancient Persians believed the blue sky reflected Sapphire’s color. Revered as stone of royalty, Sapphire was reputed to keep kings safe from harm and envy, and everyone else from dishonesty, fraud, and other afflictions.
Robert Simmons associates Sapphire with Saturn, mental discipline and focus, and the capacity to awaken both the throat and third eye chakras.
