Both the shape and faceting show off the fire in these stones, which unfortunately is very hard to capture in an image. Like most labradorite on this site, these bead look better in person than in the picture. I have a good return policy if you are not satisfied.
Labradorite is named after the Labrador Peninsula in Canada where it was first found in 1770, although it didn't become widely popular until centuries later.
Then and now it's prized for its "fire" (aka labradorescense) which gives of intermittent flashes of blue, green, gold or other colors depending on the light
