African Turquoise 6mm round beads on 16-inch strands
This stone is no relative of Turquoise found in the US or elsewhere, but rather a form of Spotted Teal Jasper that is mined in Africa. It is characterized by black and brown markings on blue-green.
The natural color is more green than blue as these stones are. If it's more blue it's probably been treated to enhance the color.
Combines well with African amber, bauxite, and carnelian as well as black.
