Matching the weight of the beads to the diameter of the cable is most important
Flexibility is nice, but not so critical with heavier beads
It's all relative, we've come a very long way since I started beading in the early 70s when we had a choice of fishing line, dental floss or waxed linen for stringing materials!
After trying all the brands of cable wire over many years, I find Flex-rite to be at least as strong and supple as the other brands, for a better price. Try it and see.
