If I had to pick just one book to carry in a bead store this would be it. I effectively combines 5 robust chapters on the history of beads around the world with 30 projects using interesting and high quality beads from different regions with more info on the beads used and the cultures that made them. To top it off, the whole is brilliantly illustrated with excellent photographs.
The true test: This book printed in 1997 remains timeless today. Kudos to Coles and Budwig!
