Fun for earrings - you can either fill the inside with gem or glass beads on a headpin, suspend something from it using the lower opeinig or attach something on top using only the top opening. These can make unusual bracelets too and of course it's always nice to have new shapes and textures for necklaces.
Our Thai silver (aka Hill Tribe) is made by Karen smiths and other ethnic groups living in villages in the highlands of the Golden Triangle near Chiang Mai. In addition to the beautiful soft glow of the fine silver, the work is meticulous, often featuring detailed stamped or etched designs in traditional, as well as contemporary, shapes and patterns.
Finer silver tarnishes less than sterling, but adding a polishing cloth to your silver purchases is always a good idea. Regular gentle rubbing will keep the silver from needing to be cleaned with harsh chemicals.
