Beads circa early 20th century, restrung more recently. Only one available
Oval carnelian beads, mostly 15-20mm, mined and shaped in South India and traded to the Ao Nagas, with brass bells made in the Naga Hills, and European cobalt thick cylindrical glass beads. A necklace worn only by a woman of affluence or status.
Collected in the 1970’s and 1980’s
