Brown glass longer, thicker tube beads (than NGG-132) from Mizoram (NE India), 5-8mm x 3mm
-
4 strands of 30” in bags of 56 grams
Very similar to, but not exactly like Naga “yiptung” lighter brown tube beads, or short, cylindrical brown beads, which were being collected at the same time in Nagaland as these were from Mizoram, in the late 1970’s – late 1980’s. Worn in hanks of several strands, these were far less prevalent among the Mizos than beads and jewelry in the Naga culture.
These beads make very nice spacers for necklaces, earrings, and bracelets.
