In India, as my Grandmother (quoting legendary Vogue editor Diana Vreeland I think) used to say, "too much is not enough" So the idea of rings for every finger is not surprising.
My guess is this is a silver alloy possibly about 60-70% silver, nicely made and relatively recent. It came to me with a bunch of vintage beads in Rajasthan in the early 1990s
By best guess for sizes are 8-9
