The Indians started making beads for export in a big way in the 1990 mostly featuring replicas of various popular beads from the African trade, including chevrons. These are curtesy of the Beadazzled Falls Church Store's inventory
Before the Indians could perfect the process, the Chinese got in on the act and with better equipment and facilities took over the global new chevron bead businessn.
