Pendant adorned with auspicious symbols depicting god Shiva, and his sacred vehicle, the bull Nandi, as well as a peacock, lingam (representing Shiva) and yoni (representing his consort goddess Shakti) and a cobra, also associated with Shiva.
Collected by Joyce Diamanti, bead writer and researcher, in Madhya Pradesh India in the early 1980s. Her eclectic tastes ranged far and wide during her long and well-traveled career.
