White metal 3-3.5mm heishi from Kenya on 15-inch strands
I used hundreds of strands of these beads in all kinds of designs in my stringing career, they work well structurally, and add just the right touch of silvery brightness. You don't necessarily notice them, but you'd miss them if they weren't used.
Originally this Kenyan metal heishi was only made in one size, about 4mm, but now it comes in mini (3mm) and sometimes also a large size about 5mm
Strand lengths have been shrinking in recent years, these strand are much longer than the 10-12mm size most currently found on the market today.
