Tall thin Krobo powderglass beads from the 1980s into the early 1990s
17mm long by 6mm diameter mostly blue and white on 16-inch strands
The glass is still recycled, but it is colored with pigments to get brighter colors than the early bottle glass shades of green and amber
These long beads were the next innovation after making shorter layered beads and were quite popular for a decade or so.
It's quite a challenge to funnel powdered glass into a narrow 6mm diameter opening, but the slanted lines resulting from uneven layers just add interest to these beads
