Another rare and interesting Krobo powderglass experiment: simulated granite beads made of black and white powdered glass mixed together.
Round Krobo beads start out in a mold just like the cylindrical ones, but once the glass has softened the mold is removed and a stick is used to individually twirl the beads around against the side of the mold at different angles to create a rounded bead.
I'm not even sure if these were meant to imitate granite, but the certainly do. If the shape were a littel different and they weren't so clean I would have been fooled.
