Chevrons have been considered so valuable that even when they broke, they were salvaged. Three of these beads are flat on both sides, they came from the middle of a large chevron. The domed bead (in the second image) shows what the problem was. Air bubbles had been trapped between the red and the white layer. These show up as flaws (holes) when the bead's ends are ground down to show the pattern. So much work goes into making these beads that even broken parts have value.
How many creative uses can you think of for these?
