Antique Venetian glass lampworked trade beads, colloquially known as "Good Beads" because they were more highly valued by the Africans themselves than the mosaic trade beads that buyers from the global north coveted in the early days (1960s and 70s) Today we've learned to appreciate them too.
This strand consists of the more desirable darker amber color with a mix of eye designs and red, white and blue "French flag" pattern
A nice range of sizes from 10x6mm to 15x12mm is included and most are in near perfect condition. Only one strand available
These were made in Venice Italy during the late 1800s and early 1900s for the African trade.
